Slindokuhle Ngwenya joined Cox Yeats in 2019 and was promoted to partner in March 2025, within the Maritime, Insurance, and International Trade Law Practice.

Slindokuhle specialises in all aspects of maritime, insurance, and international trade law, with a particular focus on marine insurance, shipping litigation, and logistics claims (both sea and land). She has extensive experience in handling complex maritime matters, including demurrage and detention disputes, ship arrests (including in rem and security arrests), and other intricate ship arrest scenarios.

Her expertise has earned her recognition from Legal500, where she has been commended for her proficiency in shipping and transport law.

Slindokuhle is an active member of the Maritime Law Association of South Africa and the Durban Marine Insurance Association.
