Cox Yeats aims to make a positive difference to the world in which we operate. We believe that legal representation is a right to which every citizen should have access and as such recognising our privileges, all partners and professionals commit to provide free legal services to various organisations and communities. The aim of our pro bono practice is to wherever possible, balance injustices, and provide effective, practical and solution-focussed legal services to those in need, who are unable to access or afford legal assistance. To this end, Cox Yeats' Non Profit Company has been incorporated through which our pro bono activities are to be channelled. Cox Yeats funds the disbursements that are incurred in the provision of pro bono work. The organisations to whom we provide pro bono work, amoungst various other clients on the instruction of ProBono.Org, include: |

Some of our attorneys also sit as commissioners of the Small Claims Court and provide advice at the SASLAW Advice Office, the Durban Magistrates’ Court Consumer Helpdesk and participate in the National Wills Week.
All of our professionals are encouraged to become involved in pro bono work where they can, within their fields of expertise, and by having an insightful approach to client’s individual needs, effect real change for causes they believe in. The level of service given to our pro bono cases, is consistent with the values of excellence we hold true as a firm.
