Jason is the second most senior member of the Commercial & Natural Resources Law Team at Cox Yeats. He joined the firm as a candidate attorney in 2011, was appointed a partner in 2015. Jason received his BSocSci LLB cum laude from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

He is a business lawyer, specialising in commercial transactional work as well as commercial litigation. Over the past decade Jason has been involved in a number of large commercial transactions and large commercial disputes in various industries, including in the banking sector, private equity, property, sugar, amongst others. Jason has acted for several banks, assisting with both recoveries and banking funding transactions. Jason has also over the years developed a mining law practice and has been involved in several significant mining matters for Richards Bay Minerals.

Jason is actively involved in a number of community organisations and pro bono work, including currently serving as a governor of Highbury Preparatory School.
