Julian Reynolds completed the Bachelor of Laws (Legum Baccalaureus) at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in 2014. He received the Dean's Commendation for academic performance in 2013, a Certificate of Merit in Property Law, and has been identified as a high-achieving student in the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal Faculty of Law for 2013 and 2014.
In 2015, Julian completed the Master of Laws (LL.M.) with Distinction at the University of Cape Town, which included subjects such as Corporate Governance, Corporate Securities Law, Negotiations, and Advanced Company Law. He also achieved a Distinction for his Minor Dissertation entitled, 'The Regulation of the Private Equity Fund in South Africa'.
Upon the completion of his LLM, he attended the School for Legal Practice for Practical Legal Training, which was a full-time course. Julian is an admitted attorney and was retained as an associate at a large firm in the Technology and Sourcing department. During his articles, he was involved in corporate and commercial, dispute resolution, and finance and banking practice.
Julian has also been involved with secondment at the largest corporation in Africa, where he worked in the contracting and sourcing division. He assisted the corporation with training its key executives and also drafting contract manuals for the business division to operate.
He has also attended and completed the Notarial Practice and Conveyancing course and thereafter passed the Notarial Practice Exam and Conveyancing Exam and is now an admitted Notary Public and Conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa.
In 2018 Julian joined a leading bank in Africa in their legal risk division, working for the bank.
