Many have done it. Many are doing it. All over the world, a South African gospel song has the world singing and dancing through a pandemic! “Jerusalema” – by South African-born international star Master KG, has taken the world by storm. Amid this incredibly challenging time of the Covid 19 pandemic in our world, spirits are being uplifted through the music and dance of “Jerusalema” by encouraging and challenging others to take part.
The song has struck a universal chord, sweeping people everywhere onto their feet and out of lockdown inertia, uniting everyone the world over. Meanwhile, back home, the hit song is uniting South Africans with some much-needed joy and pride right now.
Eager to keep up with the trends, Staff at Cox Yeats have picked up the multicultural worldwide dance challenge and turned up the music, practiced the steps and relished in the smiles and laughter of not only those dancing, but fellow staff members who were watching, clapping, and encouraging as well. With teamwork and determination, the dance came together. In Nelson Mandela’s famous words, “It always seems impossible, until it is done”.
“Despite being in the middle of a pandemic, as a firm, our people have demonstrated their ability to remain united, positive, and supportive of each other. Cox Yeats is proud to be part of this dance challenge, which is bringing people together across the world and showing that we are in this together and there to support each other”, said Managing Partner, Michael Jackson.
Cox Yeats Attorneys challenges all law firms to show their support and take part in the “Jerusalema Dance Challenge”. Together, we can remind one another, and ourselves, that there it still much to celebrate.
