In support of Mandela Day 2018, and more especially the Centenary of the birth Nelson Mandela, Cox Yeats staff made and distributed 900 sandwiches and a chest freezer to the Amaoti A3 High School. We chose this initiative simply because children were so close to Madiba’s heart and the impact that something as small as this has on a child’s life, cannot be measured. The ingredients for the day were 120 loaves of bread, 25kgs peanut butter, 5kgs strawberry jam, a whole lot of love and 67 minutes. Our staff had fun making the sandwiches and for many it brought back fond memories of their school days, and their experiences with peanut butter sandwiches.
