Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in KZN who has suffered as a result of the recent flooding
Over the last week, many communities in KZN have been ravished by catastrophic flooding. More than 400 people have lost their lives and close to 50 are still reported missing. The rains of the last week have caused extensive damage to houses, businesses, roads, bridges and water, electricity, rail and telecommunications infrastructure.
The flooding has disrupted fuel and food supplies and has been labelled a “humanitarian disaster”, that calls for a massive and urgent relief effort. The lives, health and well-being of thousands of people are still at risk. As a result, Cox Yeats must respond by assisting those in need.
Our firm has a culture of caring and in true CY Spirit we have donated R20 000 each to the Domino Foundation and the Gift of the Givers, to further their outreach, to those who have been impacted by the floods in KZN.
Our CY people are always our main priority, and their comfort and safety are important to us. A few of members of our Cox Yeats family have also been directly affected by the floods and we have pledged our support to them, to rebuild some of what they have lost, said Andrew Clark, Managing Partner at Cox Yeats.
