Anele began his career at a reputable firm based in KwaZulu-Natal, where he was exposed to and gained experience in various areas of law with his primary focus being in civil litigation, dispute resolution and banking law. He also worked on and provided advice on matters falling within environmental, health and safety.

Anele briefly left practice to be an in-house legal advisor for a company based in Pietermaritzburg, KZN. During this time, he provided overall legal support ranging from drafting agreements to reviewing and advising on existing agreements and ensuring the company complied with its legal obligations.

He refined his expertise before returning to his true passion, and practice, making the move to Gauteng to work for a Sandton-based law firm. He played a key role in advising major financial institutions on legal matters.
