Julian Reynolds is an admitted attorney, notary public, and conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Social Science (2012) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB, 2014) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where he was recognised as a high-achieving student, earning a Dean’s Commendation, a Certificate of Merit in Property Law, and Faculty accolades in both 2013 and 2014. In 2015, Julian completed his Master of Laws (LLM) with Distinction at the University of Cape Town, focusing on Corporate Governance, Securities Law, Negotiation, and Advanced Company Law. His minor dissertation, titled The Regulation of the Private Equity Fund in South Africa, also received a Distinction.
Julian began his legal career at a leading firm in its Technology and Sourcing department, where he gained experience across corporate and commercial, dispute resolution, and finance and banking practices. He was also seconded to one of Africa’s largest corporates, where he worked in the contracting and sourcing division, supported executive training, and assisted in developing internal contract manuals. He later joined a leading African bank’s Legal Risk division, providing in-house legal counsel on regulatory and operational matters. In addition to completing and passing both the Notarial Practice and Conveyancing exams, Julian has extensive experience across private practice and in-house legal environments.
He joined Cox Yeats in 2025 and is focused on deepening his expertise and building a successful, solutions-driven legal practice alongside the firm’s experienced professionals.
