Emili Souris is a Partner in the Johannesburg Property practice at Cox Yeats, with over 36 years’ experience in property law.

She has practised in property law since her admission as a conveyancer in 1991 and advises a broad range of clients, including financial institutions, developers, and private investors, on all aspects of property transactions and conveyancing.

Before joining Cox Yeats, Emili held senior leadership roles at several prominent firms, including Routledge (later Routledge-Modise, Eversheds, Hogan Lovells, and Lawtons), where she served as Partner and Head of the Real Estate Department in Johannesburg from 1998 to 2020. She began her legal career at Moss Cohen & Partners in 1986, where she completed her articles and was appointed as a partner in 1990.

Emili is known for her practical, solution-driven approach and her commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality service. She leads a highly experienced team and is recognised for her collaborative leadership style, responsiveness, and strong client focus.
