Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Stellenbosch, majoring in Political Science and History, and completed her LLB at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2019.
She began her legal career at a Durban-based firm, where she gained experience in litigation, banking and insolvency, and family law. In 2021, she joined Cox Yeats and completed her articles in the Insolvency and Business Rescue team. Jennifer was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court and appointed as an Associate in August 2022, and she was later promoted to Senior Associate in 2026.
Jennifer’s practice centres on commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with a particular focus on public procurement and administrative law, as well as construction and engineering disputes arising from large-scale infrastructure projects. She is experienced in both motion and trial proceedings in the High Court and Magistrates’ Court.
She advises clients on bid compliance and strategy, challenges unlawful tender processes and awards, and represents clients in internal appeals and judicial review proceedings. She also works closely with clients in the construction, engineering and mining sectors, many of whom operate across complex contractual frameworks, including GCC, JBCC, FIDIC and NEC, and assists with contract management, the preparation and prosecution of claims, and resolving disputes with a practical, commercially focused approach.
Jennifer also has experience in insolvency and business rescue proceedings, public liability and insurance litigation, and specialised debt recovery matters.
