Chantal specialises in Construction Engineering and Infrastructure Law, and Procurement and Administrative Law.
Chantal advises and represents a wide range of clients, including developers, contractors, subcontractors, and professional consultants. Her practice is primarily litigation-focused, with extensive experience in dispute resolution. Chantal has been involved in several significant construction and infrastructure matters, including large-scale contractual disputes involving both private and public entities as well as public sector investigations.
She is well versed in the JBCC, FIDIC, NEC, and GCC standard form construction contracts and regularly acts for clients in internal tender appeals and High Court reviews involving procurement and administrative law issues.
Chantal is a contributing author to the South African chapter of the International Comparative Legal Guide – Construction & Engineering Law 2025, offering analysis of the legal and regulatory environment shaping construction and infrastructure projects in South Africa.
