Cox Yeats Attorneys

Sunil completed his LL.B. at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2012. During this time, he represented the Religion and Theology Department at the annual Pravasi Baratiyas Divas conference held in Durban for the first time. Whilst completing his articles he enrolled with the full time Practical Legal Training School, Night Classes which he completed with a distinction. Sunil then wrote all four board exams in one sitting which he successfully passed and was admitted as an attorney in December 2013.  Having been exposed to labour law during his articles, he had developed a keen interest in pursuing it and consequently joined a specialised labour law firm in Durban. In January 2014, he obtained his High Court Rights of Appearance. Sunil’s interest lies in individual labour law, representing clients at the labour court, commissions and bargaining councils, chairing disciplinary hearings and initiating on behalf of employers. His aim is to pursue a master’s degree in Labour Law in the near future. Sunil joined Cox Yeats in 2016 and practises in the Labour Law Team.
